The guitar is one of the most popular, accessible and expressive instruments on the planet with a notable and continued legacy of influence on our music culture.
I developed a passion for it in my teens. Turning a passion into a profession, I have spent the last thirteen years making a living in music through playing live, teaching and writing reviews of guitar gear.
What I Do
Having done many different things all in the name of making a living in music, I currently write reviews and present video demos of guitar gear for Future Publishing, play live in various bands at the weekends and teach in the evenings.
Helped along by a degree in popular music, I started playing in bands and teaching guitar back in 2013, and took up my current role in Future Publishing in 2025.
Guitar is my first love, but over the years, singing became more and more a part of what I do, and I am now frequently covering both lead and backing vocal duties in bands.
